This soft leather pen keeper will protect quality desktops and delicate pencil tips from damage.
A traditional design, well executed, with every bit of polish and precision I know how to provide.
This item is tooled with a basket-weave pattern and dyed in a brilliant sunburst finish. Its top edge is polished to a bright shine, and the whole piece is stitched up by hand with two needled stitch.
Other styles and finishes available elsewhere in my shop.
The leather is 8/9 oz, or just under 1/8th of an inch thick, strong enough to stand to serious daily use for many years.
I source my leather from Hermann Oak Tannery in St Louis, Missouri. They are the oldest tannery in the United States, in continuous operation since 1881 and offering a product of truly unmatched quality.
The thread is a marine grade nylon. Originally designed for sail-making, able to bear many times the weight of the natural fiber threads I used before, it will stand up to UV light and abrasion better than anything I've yet found.
